Lunch with High School Friends

Before Christmas I got together with some friends from high school to have lunch. It was really fun to see everyone and to hear about what everyone has been up to. It isn't very often that we all get together now that we have moved away, gotten married and are having kids of our own. I can't believe that we are old enough for all of that!!!

Photo Shoot!

Today my sister-in-law, Krissi, came over for Charlie's first photo shoot. Charlie wasn't too happy about having her picture taken, but we managed to get some good pictures anyway! Thanks Krissi!!

Why daddy doesn't like headbands!!!

When Bodie got home from work on Tuesday I was taking a nap on the couch and Charlie was in her little crib sleeping. He walked over to her and started laughing.........I had to take a picture.

First Bath!

Charlie's belly button finally fell off when she was 15 days old so it was time for her first real bath. She did pretty well, but got a little upset when I first put her in the water. After she calmed down she seemed to really like the water!

She managed to scratch herself one time during the entire process.....here she is AFTER her bath.

She finally fell asleep on my mom's shoulder after the stressful ordeal!

So the last couple of weeks have been anything but boring. Charlie is now 15 days old!!! She had another doctor's appointment this morning for a weight check and she is now already up to 7 lb 14 oz!!!! I can't believe how much she has gained. Last week she was 7 lbs 3 oz and in just 6 days she has gained 11 oz! I guess I shouldn't have been concerned about her getting enough food!!! We went out to Parma yesterday to have dinner with my parents and my dad gave Charlie her first "massage" and then made a little "hammock" for her to sleep in. It was so cute!

She's Here!!!

Charlie Elizabeth Hansen was born November 25 at 5:52 am. She was 7 lbs and 20 1/2 inches long. She came into the world quickly..........my labor was just under 3 hours from the time my water broke until she was born. I can't complain about that!! She is doing well and we are adjusting to having a newborn in the house. She had her first visit to the peidiatrician this morning. My mom came with me since Bodie was at work. Charlie was a little mad at the entire situation, but she did well. We then had to go the hospital to get her bilirubin tested for her jaundice. The level came back a lot lower than the pediatrician thought and so everything is fine. Here are a few pictures............more to come as I have time!

I decided to "blog"

I have really enjoyed reading other people's blogs and decided to start one of my own. Bodie and I are patiently awaiting the arrival of our little girl! I have less than 6 weeks until my due date an I can hardly wait! We are trying to keep ourselves busy with work and getting the house ready. The nursery is coming together and we are getting most of the inside of the house painted as well. So, I thought I would post the long awaited "belly shot" for those of you who keep asking!!
