Sledding FUN!

We had fun sledding at Nana and Pop's last weekend. Charlie wasn't too fond of the downhill sledding part, but really like it when Riley pulled her home on the sled. We can't wait for more snow!!!

Coupons

OK, so you all know that I coupon shop. It is a great way to save money and is kind of fun too! Charlie goes with me, sometimes, but it is hard to take her most of the time so she stays home with daddy. However, she does watch me at home getting coupons cut out and organized. She knows what a coupon is and always asks to hold them when we go to the store (even if it is just a shopping list, she still thinks it is a coupon). So, Nana (my mom) got her a new outfit this weekend. Charlie was excited to try it on (such a girl) and as we were putting it on her she said "I got this at Winco.....with a coupon!" (not really from Winco). No lie, it came out like that. I about died laughing. That girl cracks me up everyday, but this one almost tops them all. She is always saying things like "we got it at Winco/Wal-mart/Albertsons" or wherever. It seriously cracks me up. She also likes to tell me "it's on sale, mommy" when we are shopping. Hey, nothing wrong with raising a thrifty girl, right? It's just so funny to me...I guess I must talk about something being on sale or buying with a coupon more than I realize. OK, well she is yelling at me from her crib now...guess nap time is over ;)

Cutest girl ever......

She still thinks she can fit into last year's Halloween costume.

Ready for Church. "Jesus will like my hat!"

Cheese It!

We made some pipe cleaner spiders this weekend. Charlie said "I want to cheese them, mom." Here is what we got.

These are the BEST of the best if you know what I mean. I think she seriously took around 80 pictures when I finally agreed to let her have the camera.

That's my girl!

From the mouth of Charlie:
"That's my plate, mom!"

FRIENDS!!!!!

Chelsea, one of my bestest friends :), was in town last night with her two girls. Jessica, another bestest friend who lives in the area, came with her adorable daughter also. It was so fun to have all of our kids together. Jessica, Chelsea, Rachel (who lives in Northern Idaho) and I were all roommates at Lewiston. We all are married with kids now........ALL girls (7 to be exact). Someone must have a boy sometime :) Here are 4 of the 7 girls together (Rachel has 3 girls).

Charlie and baby Aspen. Charlie thought Aspen might want to watch Dora with her...how thoughful ;)
I have included two group pictures just for fun! Charlie wasn't too cooperative...she didn't want anyone to touch her during the picture...little stinker.

Love you girls!! Hope we can get together again soon (next time with Rachel)!

Discovery Center

We had fun time at the Discovery Center with my sister-in-law and her kids.

Charlie and Piper (enjoying the couch more than the activities)
Electricity-producing bike. This one caused some tears when it was time to let someone else have a turn.
Oh, the Grocery Store....Charlie was in heaven!!! She did not crack a smile the entire time. This is serious business and she was on a mission!

Our Thrifty Finds....We're Hooked!

Here are the results of our couponing trip today:
Without coupons and discounts, this would have cost $236.17
We paid.............................$28.61 and have $10 to spend later.

Some highlights of this trip include:
5 bottles ALL laundry detergent
5 bottles Suave body wash
5 bottles Vaseline lotion
5 Degree deodorants
5 Best Food mayonaise
4 boxes Klondike bars
10 boxes cereal
2 gallons of milk
plus LOTS more!

If that doesn't motivate you to start couponing, I don't know what will!

My Big Debut

The majority of the reason we have been so busy this summer is because I decided to get my Real Estate License! I took a 90 hour class, passed 4 different tests and paid my dues so now I can officially say that I am a licensed Real Estate Salesperson! I am really looking forward to this new path I am taking. I am excited to get started and hope that it goes well for me. I am going to be working with my mom quite a bit and also doing some things out on my own. If you or someone you know is buying or selling.....give me a call!

Visitors!

We have had a very busy past month. My Uncle David (my dad's brother) came to visit from California. Charlie wasn't too sure of him...can you tell?! We always have fun when he comes to visit!

We also decided to have Charlie's cousins, Kylee and Tiler, come spend the night this weekend. Charlie had SO much fun with the older girls. She copied everything that they did. Thanks Ky and Ti for coming to stay with us!
Here they are watching a movie (enjoying their chocolate milk)

Potty

Charlie has been interested in the potty for a while, so we decided to start trying to get her to use it. She has gone several times, but nothing consistant. We have special "potty candy" for her, and that usually gets her excited. We know it is kind of early, but that is fine. Anyone have any TIPS for us???!!!

Yes, We ARE Alive!

WOW! We have had a busy couple of weeks! Here are just a few pictures of what we have been up to. Charlie has had lots of Daddy time since I have been taking a class for the last two weeks solid (more on that to come later). We went to a good friend's wedding in Sun Valley in between my weeks of class. Congratulations Tom and Jennifer!
They had a beautiful ceremony out in a meadow. The same place they got engaged! Look at that view....

As I was cleaning out the garage, Charlie found my "couponing" stash of various items and got it all out. She had fun playing with it and taking it around from place to place. She felt very important to be able to have all of those girly lotions, soaps, and "make'up" (aka-lip gloss).

Charlie is a girly-girl and loves to dress up and dance around to music. I found these shoes and skirt at the dollar store and she loves them (yes, they are ugly, but who cares). I also found the pink tu-tu for cheap, so I couldn't resist!

Just a family picture from the 4th (I am aware this is very late!). We went to the park to watch fireworks with Nik and Jenn (no picture of them since Nik REFUSED to let me take a decent picture)!
More to come as I find the time!
